Responsibly mined gold from california's Trinity river

The Trinity, like all rivers, is an ecosystem shared by many users. In adition to the areas native wildlife and fish, the river is home to kayakers, rafters, sport and native fishermen, people who simply want enjoy its scenic beauty and solitude, and last but not least the miners and divers seeking to extract gold from the rivers bed. All of these diverse groups can and do peacefuly co-exist in trinity counties waterways.

All dredging operations are strictly controlled by the mining regulations of the state of California and are operated in such a way as to produce the least interferance with the local ecology and recreational users of the river. Fishing enthusiasts might be happy to know that the tailings from a dredging operation can actually create new areas of loose gravel ideal for fish to spawn in.
